Why would the Sikh community, officials say it’s disrespectful to arrest women ?

Four family members have been arrested and accused of helping an accused murderer get away. The murder happened during a sports festival at the Sikh Sports complex over the weekend.

Members of the Sikh community are now promising to protest after the arrest of two women. Apparently in the Sikh community, officials say it’s disrespectful to arrest women.

The two women are cousins of the suspected murderer, Amandeep Dhami.

Dhami, 24, is a resident of Elk Grove and is currently on the run.

Two other suspects who were also booked today are the suspects own father and one of his male cousins. The two were arrested at Macy’s in the Downtown Plaza.

They actively, knowingly, and willingly helped a murder suspect flee from a scene, and it’s something we take very seriously and it won’t be tolerated, says police.

As for Dhami, police told CBS13 after he allegedly shot a man during the Sikh Sports Festival Sunday; he then took off thanks to the alleged help of his family.

According to authorities, family members who are now under arrest allegedly gave him keys to a get away car.

The second gunman was pummeled after shots were fired by the crowd who were attending the sports festival. The crowd hit the suspect with hockey sticks and cricket bats, holding him to the ground until deputies arrived. He is currently jail, but the other suspected shooter is on the run.

A federal warrant has been issued for Dhami’s arrested, just in care he’s already fled the country and local authorities need international help catching him.http://cbs13.com/local/amandeep.dhami.shooting.2.811240.html

Apparently in the Sikh community, officials say it’s disrespectful to arrest women.”So what do they do? Ask them pretty please with sugar on top to show up to court or is it disrespectful to put women in jail so we should just allow them to do as they please. I mean ……WOW!
